The proximity to Macrossan Street and the beach was a big plus, making it easy to explore the area with my wife and young daughter. The apartment itself was comfortable and well-equipped for our week-long stay, with the kids enjoying the heated pool and the various amenities provided, such as children's toys and games.While the communication with the Tropical Reef team, particularly with Sue, was excellent and accommodating, the overall value proposition of the hotel leaned more towards the mid-range category. The modern, updated apartment and friendly check-in experience added to the overall positive stay, but some additional amenities like laundry facilities or a free shuttle service would have enhanced the value for money.In conclusion, Tropical Reef offers a decent balance between luxury and affordability, making it a suitable choice for families looking for a comfortable stay near the beach and local attractions in Port Douglas.
